Southeast Asia is rapidly emerging as a global hub for trade and logistics, propelled by robust intra-ASEAN commerce, surging e-commerce growth, and the region’s push toward decarbonization. Against this backdrop, transport logistic Southeast Asia and air cargo Southeast Asia (tlacSEA) 2025 will convene from October 29–31, 2025, at the Sands Expo & Convention Centre, Singapore.
The event is set to welcome over 10,000 logistics professionals, more than 300 exhibitors, and 90+ expert speakers, providing an essential platform to explore innovation, connectivity, and sustainability across the supply chain.
From AI-driven freight optimization and multimodal innovations to green logistics strategies, tlacSEA 2025 will spotlight the technologies, partnerships, and policy frameworks shaping the future of supply chain connectivity in Southeast Asia and beyond.
Indonesia, Southeast Asia’s largest economy, is positioning logistics modernization at the heart of its national growth strategy. Despite persistent challenges related to high logistics costs, the country is leveraging digitalization and technology to build an efficient, integrated, and globally competitive logistics ecosystem.
With its industrial base projected to contribute over 21% of GDP by 2030, Indonesia is accelerating infrastructure and logistics reforms. Key developments include the Trans-Sumatra Toll Road, ongoing port modernization, and the expansion of logistics hubs beyond Java, which are unlocking new domestic and international trade corridors.
On August 15, 2025, tlacSEA Connect Indonesia was held in Jakarta in partnership with the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) and leading logistics associations. The half-day session convened policymakers, manufacturers, logistics providers, and technology innovators to discuss Indonesia’s logistics transformation and its pivotal role in shaping regional trade flows.
Key discussion themes included:
M. Akbar Djohan, Chairman of the Indonesian Logistics & Forwarders Association (ALFI):
“Logistics efficiency is the key to reducing national distribution costs. Through collaboration and technology, we can strengthen an integrated logistics ecosystem, support MSMEs, and expand market opportunities.”
Michael Wilton, CEO & Managing Director, MMI Asia Pte Ltd:
“Indonesia plays a critical role in Southeast Asia’s logistics transformation—from infrastructure development to supply chain digitalization. Through tlacSEA Connect Indonesia and the main event in Singapore, we aim to align national priorities with regional strategies and foster practical solutions for long-term growth.”
Teguh Anantawikrama, Vice Chairman of KADIN for Technology Transformation, MSMEs, and Digitalization:
“Participation in tlacSEA 2025 is not just about exhibition—it is a strategic platform to showcase Indonesia’s logistics capabilities. We encourage businesses to actively contribute to the global dialogue on digitalization and efficiency, demonstrating that Indonesia is ready to compete and collaborate regionally.”
Other prominent speakers included Ali Moertopo (Deputy III, Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs of Indonesia), Mahendra Rianto (Chairman, ALI), Liana Trisnawati (Chairwoman, ABUPI), Utami Prasetiawati (Chairwoman, PPLBI), and Iman Sedayu Pusponegoro (Chairman, ALDEI).
The Jakarta roadshow reinforced Indonesia’s role as a logistics growth hub, supported by infrastructure upgrades, port modernization, and accelerated digital adoption. It also generated actionable recommendations on logistics digitalization for the upcoming regional forum.
Held in Singapore—one of the world’s most connected logistics hubs—tlacSEA 2025 offers a central stage for policy dialogue, commercial collaboration, and global innovation exchange.
The conference will feature country-focused sessions, including a dedicated track on Indonesia’s logistics transformation, as well as deep dives into key markets such as Malaysia and Vietnam. These discussions will align national strategies with regional objectives, fostering collaboration to enhance trade efficiency, connectivity, and resilience.
With Southeast Asia at the forefront of global trade transformation, tlacSEA 2025 will unite policymakers, industry leaders, and innovators to shape the next decade of logistics. By catalyzing partnerships, advancing sustainability, and aligning regional priorities, the event aims to convert bold ideas into actionable solutions—driving progress not only for Southeast Asia, but for global supply chains at large.
