The Vietnam Logistics Business Association (VLA) has successfully secured the right to host the annual congress of the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations in 2025 – the FIATA World Congress 2025 (FWC2025).

The congress is scheduled to take place from October 6-10, 2025, with the theme “Developing Green Logistics, Adapting Quickly,” focusing on energy transition with vehicles using sustainable energy sources.

This is a significant and major event in the global logistics industry, attracting the participation of thousands of delegates from businesses, experts, and industry leaders from around the world.

It also presents an opportunity to enhance the image and position of Vietnam’s logistics sector internationally, while opening up many collaboration and business opportunities for domestic enterprises.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Vietnam ranks 43rd in the Logistics Performance Index (LPI), placing it among the top five in Southeast Asia and among the top ten emerging logistics markets globally.

In the first seven months of 2024, the logistics sector contributed to a 17.1% increase in Vietnam's total export-import turnover compared to the same period in 2023, reaching 439.88 billion USD. This information was presented at the Vietnam International Logistics Exhibition 2024 (VILOG 2024) recently.

According to forecasts by the World Bank, GDP growth in the Asia-Pacific region is expected to be 4.5% this year, higher than the global average of 3.1%. As a dynamic global hub for production, consumption, and innovation, the recovery of the Asian economy is clearly reflected in trade flows, with Vietnam standing out.
