Total Vietnam import & export goods value in March 2022 surged a high break record

According to statistics from the General Department of Customs, the total import & export goods value in March 2022 broke a record high with 67.37 billion USD, up 38.1% compared to February. Export value was 34.71 billion USD, up 48.2%, and import value was 32.66 billion USD, up 28.7% compared to last month.

In Q1, 2022, the total import-export value of Vietnam's goods reached 176.75 billion USD, up 14.3% y-o-y in 2021. The export value reached 89.1 billion USD, up 13.4%, and the import value reached 87.64 billion USD, up 15.2% y-o-y in 2021.

The General Department of Customs recorded that the total import-export value of FDI enterprises in March was 46.89 billion USD, up 35.7% compared to February 2022. Hence, FDI contributed 123.05 billion USD in 2022 Q1, increasing y-o-y 12.8%.

In Q1.2022, Vietnam's goods trade with Asia reached 115.39 billion USD, up 15.1% over the same period in 2021, continuing to account for the highest proportion (65.3%) in the total import and export value of the country. The import-export value between Vietnam and other continents is America (36.38 billion USD), Europe (19.17 billion USD), Oceania (3.96 billion USD), and Africa (1.86 billion USD).
