Vinh Phuc ICD Logistics Center is the first project ASEAN Smart Logistics Network (ASLN).
On December 23, 2021, Chairman of the National Assembly Vuong Dinh Hue, several representatives of the Singapore Government, and leaders of ministries, authorities attended and pressed the button to start construction. Vinh Phuc ICD Logistics Center project.
The project investor is the T&Y Superport Vinh Phuc joint-stock company, a consortium of the T&T Group and its Singaporean partners – the YCH Group and YCH Holdings Company.
Spanning 83ha in Huong Canh township and Son Loi commune in Binh Xuyen district, the center has a designed customs clearance capacity of some 530,000 TEUs per year.
The project will operate from the 3rd quarter of 2022 in the first phase and the 4th quarter of 2024 in the second phase.
By design, the project will be equipped world's leading modern IoT technology, such as using robots to automate the warehouse and a modern computer control system. The information of containers will be digitized and sent to the centralized center using existing information networks.
As part of a detailed plan for developing Vietnam's inland port and logistics center system to 2020, with a vision to 2030, the center integrates the functions of a distribution center (DC) and an inland container depot (ICD).
The project is expected to be a breakthrough for Vietnam's logistics development, towards the goal that by 2025, domestic logistics costs will be reduced to 16% of GDP logistics growth reaches 15%-20%.
