JD Logistics, the logistics arm of JD.com, has announced plans to double its overseas warehouse space by the end of 2025.
This significant expansion is part of the company’s broader global supply chain strategy to meet the growing demand for cross-border logistics solutions. As part of this effort, JD Logistics will also expand its network of bonded and direct-mail warehouses. Additionally, the company aims to extend its international express delivery services from China to approximately 80 countries and regions by the end of this year.
JD Logistics currently operates nearly 100 bonded, direct mail, and overseas warehouses. Its global supply chain network includes overseas warehousing, international transfer centers, local transportation systems, and cross-border transportation routes—all supported by advanced supply chain technology.
Building an Integrated Global Service Ecosystem
As of June 2023, JD Logistics operates nearly 100 bonded, direct mail, and overseas warehouses across the globe, totaling close to 1 million square meters in key markets such as the U.S., Germany, the Netherlands, France, the U.K., Vietnam, the UAE, Australia, and Malaysia, among others. These facilities offer localized services to support both international clients and Chinese brands seeking global growth.
JD Logistics is focused on expanding its presence in Europe and the U.S., establishing collaborative supply chain networks capable of delivering fulfillment services within 24 hours in several regions.
The company plans to increase its international cargo flights from China to destinations such as Malaysia, South Korea, Vietnam, the U.S., and Europe to enhance cross-border transportation services. It will also explore the development of self-operated transportation and delivery capabilities overseas.
JD Logistics has established partnerships with leading cross-border e-commerce platforms, serving thousands of merchants and business clients.
Expanding International Express Delivery to Nearly 80 Countries and Regions
Since launching its international express operations in late 2023, JD Express has introduced two key services: “International Express” and “International Standard Express,” providing tailored for both merchants and consumers.
Ahead of this year’s Single’s Day shopping festival, JD Logistics will launch new express delivery service from China to Japan, South Korea, and Southeast Asia. The service is expected to expand to approximately 80 countries and regions by the end of this year.
