News #58 - "Superport" ICD Vinh Phuc (VN) operates Phase 1

The ICD Vinh Phuc Logistics Center is one of the key projects in the province with a total investment of nearly 150 million USD, designed to handle approximately 530,000 TEU per year. The project is currently operational in its first phase.

ICD Vinh Phuc Logistics Center marks the first name in the smart logistics network in the ASEAN region, integrating a distribution center and an inland port to serve the market's logistics service needs.

Construction began at the end of 2021, led by T&Y Superport Vinh Phuc Joint Stock Company (a joint venture between T&T Group and its Singaporean partner, YCH Group). Upon completion, it will be one of the largest logistics centers in Northern Vietnam, connecting industrial zones via road and rail, as well as linking with Hanoi, Cat Bi International Airport (Hai Phong), and Yunnan province in China. The project will also enhance Vinh Phuc's connections with other ASEAN countries and internationally.

In August 2022, to elevate the ICD Vinh Phuc Logistics Center to become one of the largest and most efficient logistics centers in Vietnam, the project's investors partnered with Vietnam Airlines to integrate an extended cargo hold into the airline’s overall service/business model. Additionally, there is a cooperation with the Vietnam Railways Corporation to plan a railway branch connecting the national railway to the superport area.

Currently, Phase I is operational, with an expected capacity of about 400 tons per day, meeting the container transport needs of the province and other northern regions.

In Phase 2, the project will construct a bonded area and an inland port, logistics warehouse area, support facilities, transportation infrastructure, and a green area covering more than 52 hectares. It is expected to become operational by the fourth quarter of 2024.
