South Korea opens new shipping route to Hai Phong port

According to the Vietnam News Agency correspondent in Seoul, on June 15th, a new regular container transport route between Ulsan port (South Korea) and Hai Phong port was officially opened.

Information from the Ulsan Port Authority said that the first 17 943-ton container ship Ever Chaste, running the Hai Phong -  Ulsan routes, docked at Ulsan port. According to the plan, the new service operator, Evergreen Korea, plans to operate 3 ships that call at Ulsan container port once a week.

The Ulsan Port Authority shared that this new shipping route will generate an annual volume of about 24 000 TEUs for Ulsan port.

Mr.Jeong Sun-yo - Executive Vice President of the Ulsan Port Authority said that the operator will make every effort to support the new transport route connecting Ulsan Port with Vietnam in particular and Southeast Asia can operate stably and further expand.

This year, Ulsan port opened two new shipping routes to the port of Penang in Malaysia (Malaysia) and Ningbo (China). Up to June 2023, Ulsan Port Authority is operating a total of 37 container shipping routes to regions in Asia such as Southeast Asia, Japan and China.
