CMA-CGM aims flight permit for CC Air Cargo in Vietnam

Mr.Patric Bergamini – Vice president in charge of Public Affairs, governmental contracts and business development of CMA-CGM has showed their interest in receiving flight permit for CC Air Cargo in Vietnam. 

Specifically, the representative of CMA-CGM said that the firm is preparing the procedures of applying flight permission for CMA-CGM Air Cargo (CC Air Cargo) in Vietnam.

Simultaneously, Mr.Bergamini also mentioned Gemalink expanding phase 2 project at Cai Mep, investing plan in Lach Huyen port, Hai Phong province and inland depot projects in southern regions of Vietnam

In this occasion, Mr.Pham Minh Chinh – Prime minister of Vietnam proposed CMA-CGM to continue to cooperate with related governmental bodies to get instruction and support to solve arise problems, progressing seaport projects that abide with Vietnamese regulation and plans.

About granting flight permit for CC Air Cargo, Mr.Chinh also said that Vietnam will support and solve arise problems with the firm positively according to rules and regulations.

CMA-CGM established in 1861, since then, the firm become top logistics and transport corporation of France with over 257 mutual maritime routes between 420 ports in 160 nations. The firm’s headquarter is currently at France and USA.

In 2021, CMA-CGM recorded revenue up to 56 billion USD, up to 77,8% compared to the same period in the last year. Beside maritime transport, CMA-CGM recently has expanded their businesses sector to aviation transport. In October 2021, the firm ordered 2 Boeing 777 model, which can carry 102 tons of air cargo and maximum height 9.200km

CMA-CGM invested in many port infrastructure of Vietnam since 1994, which under joint venture relationship with Sowatco (Vietnam) and Mitsui&Co (Japan) for VICT port in Ho Chi Minh city.
